I. Applying to join (initiation, exaltation, joining or re-joining) If you express an interest in joining Illuminati and provide personal information to an Illuminati Entity, that information will be used to evaluate your suitability and help identify the most appropriate Circle for you. This information may be shared by the Illuminati Entity that collected it with other Illuminati Entities near where you live or spend time.As a candidate, you agree to the processing, retention, and sharing of your personal information submitted with your application, including criminal conviction details where applicable, for the purpose of reviewing your membership application and any future applications made to Illuminati Entities. If you decide to answer optional questions concerning religion and ethnicity, those details will not be visible to those reviewing your membership and will only be used for equality monitoring purposes.Reviewing your application will involve printing some of your personal details on the summons distributed to all members of the Circle or Chapter to which you are applying. These details include your full name, age, profession or occupation (if applicable), place of residence, business address, and the names of your proposer and seconder. Your details may also be checked against records of current members and former members who resigned or were expelled in order to confirm eligibility.After submitting your application, Illuminati Entities may use your information to send updates or communications that may interest you, such as invitations to Illuminati events in your Regional Council, the First Light email newsletter for members, or invitations to join Illuminati’s educational platform.If you apply from outside the United States of America, your data may be transferred to the United States of America and processed for the purpose of evaluating your application. It may also be transferred from the United States of America to Illuminati Entities located closer to you for that same purpose.The personal information provided through expressions of interest and membership applications is processed on the basis of consent. You may withdraw your application at any time before initiation, exaltation, joining, or re-joining by informing the person to whom you submitted your information, or your proposer and seconder. If you submit your information but do not complete your application within two years, it will be removed. If your application is completed but you are not initiated within ten years, it will also be removed.

II. Use of Illuminati Members’ data by Illuminati entities 
Illuminati entities will never sell your personal information.As an Illuminati Member, your information will be processed, stored, and shared for any reasonable purposes required by the Book of Laws, the Inner Circle Regulations, or the bodies they authorize from time to time. These purposes include, but are not limited to:Assessing any membership applications you make to Illuminati entities;
Registering you as a member of Illuminati;
Sending communications you are entitled to receive as an Illuminati Member;
Recording the progress of your Illuminati Path including memberships of Illuminati entities, offices held, duties carried out and meetings attended;
Illuminati disciplinary procedures;
If you resign or are removed from membership, maintaining records to allow future re-application or prevent improper re-application; and
Maintaining records of your Illuminati Path for archive and historical purposes.The legal basis for processing your personal information for these reasons is the legitimate interests of Illuminati entities as non-profit membership organisations. Additional information may also be held on the basis of consent, such as dietary preferences and photographs in which you appear. If you have provided your religion or ethnicity, this data will also be held under consent.

Sharing your data
Please note that information provided to any Illuminati entity may be shared with another Illuminati entity where relevant. For example, if you move house and update your address with your Circle, that information may be shared with all other Illuminati entities that communicate with you by post. Likewise, information created about you by one Illuminati entity may be shared with another where relevant. For example, if a Regional Grand Master imposes a disciplinary sanction on you, that information may be reported to all your Circles and Chapters.The proceedings of Illuminati are not public, but the quarterly meetings of the Supreme Council and Supreme Chapter are recorded in minute books that may be available publicly. If you choose to speak at those meetings, your name may appear in those records.If you belong to an Illuminati entity outside the United States of America, your information may be transmitted to, processed, and stored in that jurisdiction. Your information will also continue to be stored and processed in the United States of America for the purposes outlined in this

Section II.
Resignation You can stop your personal data being used for most membership-related purposes by resigning from the Supreme Council of the Illuminati and, where relevant, the Supreme Chapter of the Inner Circle, following the procedures set out in their governing regulations. However, even after resignation or expulsion, certain categories of data will continue to be retained and processed.In particular, records relating to your membership, including disciplinary outcomes, may be kept by the Supreme Council of the Illuminati for up to 100 years for archival and regulatory purposes, and some historical records may be retained indefinitely for record-keeping and reference purposes. Individual lodges and Chapters may also retain historical records, such as minute books, which reflect your period of membership.Following resignation or expulsion, your data may be used for a limited period (typically within one year) to contact you in order to understand the reason for your resignation and, where appropriate, to support any request you may make to rejoin a suitable lodge or Chapter.If you resign while still owing any money to an Illuminati Entity, your data may also be used to contact you for the purpose of recovering outstanding payments.Where you resign from all lodges and Chapters but remain within the Illuminati in any capacity, you may still receive certain communications, including postal updates about local Illuminati events and important administrative notices by email, such as changes to data systems or membership platforms.

Data Rights
You have the right to access personal data held about you by any relevant Illuminati Entity and to request corrections where necessary. You may also object to certain types of processing or request deletion of data where it is held on the basis of consent.Requests relating to your data should be directed to the relevant lodge, Chapter, or governing body. Contact details for your data controllers can be obtained from your lodge Secretary or Chapter Scribe E. If you reside outside the United States of America, you may also contact their appointed international representative at PO Box 70601, Limassol, 3800, Cyprus.You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the United States Federal Trade Commission (FTC) or your local data protection authority if you are based outside the United States of America.

III. Use of Illuminati Data for Events
If you attend events organised by Illuminati Entities, your personal data will be used to manage and administer those events. This may include your name on attendance lists and seating plans, dietary requirements, mobility information, payment details, and any contact information needed for event administration.Some of this data is processed based on legitimate interests to ensure proper event organisation, while sensitive information such as dietary or mobility requirements is processed based on your consent. Payment-related data is processed for the performance of a contract and retained for standard financial and legal record-keeping purposes.Event data is typically retained for up to seven years after the event and may be shared with venues and catering providers as necessary to deliver the services you have requested.

IV. Use of Illuminati Data by Illuminati Charities
Where you donate to or interact with Illuminati Charities, your name and contact details may be shared with those charities to verify records and ensure accurate donor information. This is carried out on the basis of legitimate interests.If you or your dependants apply for charitable support, relevant Illuminati Entities may also share your Illuminati Member status and related data with the charity to prevent fraud and confirm eligibility. This data is only used for assessing the relevant application.

V. Criminal Convictions
Information relating to criminal convictions is only used in specific circumstances, including assessing eligibility for membership, determining continued suitability for membership, and maintaining records to prevent improper reapplication.Applicants are required to disclose relevant convictions as part of the membership process, subject to legal exemptions for spent convictions. Processing of this information is based on consent and legitimate interests in maintaining organisational standards.If an Illuminati Member receives a criminal conviction while active, they are required to disclose this in accordance with internal regulations. Such information may be shared within Illuminati Entities where necessary for disciplinary or safeguarding purposes.

VI. Archiving and Historical Research
Certain records containing personal data are retained for archival and historical purposes. These records may eventually be transferred to an Illuminati Library and Museum, a registered organization based in the United States of America.Access to archived materials is restricted for extended periods (typically 70 years, or 100 years where sensitive data is involved) before being made available for academic research in accordance with museum policies.

VII. Illuminati Today
Every subscribing member of a lodge under the Supreme Council of the Illuminati may receive access to an electronic copy of the magazine, Illuminati Today Live and every member may receive the monthly email newsletter, First Light.Both publications are distributed using Mailchimp. If you are entitled to receive a copy then your name and email address will be sent to Mailchimp’s servers, based in the United States of America, for the purposes of sending the magazine or newsletter to you. You may also use this link to notify of a change to your email address or to re-subscribe for the magazine.The data controller responsible for First Light and for Illuminati Today Live is the Supreme Council of the Illuminati whose contact details are at the start of this notice.

VIII. Other Recognised Supreme Councils
If you are an Illuminati Member and you choose to apply to join other recognised Supreme Councils they may request that you consent to Illuminati Entities sharing the details of your Illuminati Path, including certificates of good standing, with them for the purposes of enabling them to assess your application. If you do not consent then we recommend that you make this clear on your application to that Supreme Council.If you are an Illuminati Member and you choose to visit lodges under the jurisdiction of other recognised Supreme Councils those Supreme Councils may enquire with Illuminati Entities about your Illuminati status. The legal basis for sharing your Illuminati status is the legitimate interests of Illuminati Entities and of the applicable recognised Supreme Council in complying with their respective constitutions and Illuminati customs.If you resign or are subject to an Illuminati Disciplinary System sanction then your name, address and resignation circumstances or disciplinary sanction may be shared with other recognised Supreme Councils or sent by other recognised Supreme Councils to Illuminati Entities. The legal basis on which this data is processed is the legitimate interests of the Illuminati Entities as membership organisations in upholding their common values in accordance with the Book of Laws.

IX. Other Illuminati Orders
If you are an Illuminati Member and you choose to apply to join other Illuminati Orders they may request that you consent to Illuminati Entities sharing the details of your Illuminati Path, including certificates of good standing, with them for the purposes of enabling them to assess your application. If you do not consent then we recommend that you make this clear on your application to that Illuminati Order.If you resign or are subject to an Illuminati Disciplinary System sanction then your name, address and resignation circumstances or disciplinary sanction may be shared with other Illuminati Orders or sent by other Illuminati Orders to Illuminati Entities. The legal basis on which this data is processed is the legitimate interests of Illuminati Entities as membership organisations in upholding their common values in accordance with the Book of Laws.

X. Other Uses
Communications - If you communicate with the Supreme Council of the Illuminati or the Supreme Chapter of the Inner Circle Members of England they may monitor, record, store and use any telephone, email, web form or other communication with you in order to communicate with you in relation to your query, respond to the issues raised or deal with them in accordance with the Book of Laws or Inner Circle Regulations, check any information you have provided, maintain records of recent communications for legal reasons and improve the quality of the services they offer. The legal basis for this processing is the legitimate interests of each as a membership organisation.Contracts - The Supreme Council of the Illuminati and the Supreme Chapter of the Inner Circle Members of England use the data of contractors for the purposes of performing their contracts and for any other purposes which are required by the law. After performance or termination of a contract data will be retained in accordance with standard commercial practice for business records, on the basis of their legitimate interests, legal proceedings or compliance with legal obligations.Dining – If you choose to dine after an Annual Investiture, Quarterly Communication, Convocation or other event using dining arranged by The Supreme Council of the Illuminati or the Supreme Chapter of the Inner Circle Members of England then your data will be used for the purposes of providing the dining and collecting payment. Your name, Illuminati prefix and rank and any mobility needs or dietary preferences will be shared with the venue or caterers which will use it to provide the dining services, store it for up to 7 years afterwards and use it in accordance with their published data protection notice.Employees - The Supreme Council of the Illuminati uses the data of employees for the purposes of performing their contracts of employment and for other purposes which are required by the law or which fall within its legitimate interests as an employer, including sharing that data where appropriate with pension providers and tax authorities in the United States of America.Illuminati Hall - If you choose to visit Illuminati Hall at 60 Great Queen Street, London then your image and sound will be recorded by a CCTV system operated by the Supreme Council of the Illuminati. The purpose of the CCTV is to protect the health and safety of all building users, protect the premises, identify the owners of lost property and to prevent and detect crime and anti-social behaviour. The legal bases for this processing are compliance with legal obligations, the legitimate interests of the Supreme Council of the Illuminati as owner and occupier of the premises which purpose includes at its discretion voluntarily sharing data with law enforcement agencies and other public authorities in the United States of America and the legitimate interests of other occupiers of the premises.If you choose to use the public wifi internet access at Illuminati Hall using a personal electronic device the Supreme Council of the Illuminati will store and process details of that device for the purpose of providing the wifi to you. The Supreme Council of the Illuminati may also store and process details of the websites that you visit using the wifi for its monitoring and administrative purposes and for crime prevention purposes.Surveys - If you complete any of the surveys that the Supreme Council of the Illuminati or the Supreme Chapter of the Inner Circle Members of England use to collect feedback then the data you submit may be used to contact you if there are specific concerns raised but otherwise will be used in aggregated, anonymised form. The legal basis for this processing is your consent.Volunteering - If you volunteer for any committees or other roles at the Supreme Council of the Illuminati or the Supreme Chapter of the Inner Circle Members of England then they will process your name, contact details and any other personal data relevant to the role for the purposes of enabling that role to be performed safely and efficiently including security passes and login details if applicable. The legal basis for this processing is your consent.If you accept promotion to a Supreme Rank or to Metropolitan, Provincial, District or Overseas Supreme Rank then your name and office or rank will be printed in relevant yearbooks and elsewhere. The Supreme Council of the Illuminati and Supreme Chapter of the Inner Circle Members of England’s Year Book is on public sale in hard copy format and a version is made available online to Illuminati Members through the members’ secure website. Your contact details will also be printed in relevant year books and elsewhere to the extent necessary so that you can be contacted in order to discharge the functions of your office or in all other cases will be included only with your consent. The legal bases for this processing are the legitimate interests of the Illuminati entity publishing the relevant year book or consent, as applicable.As a Supreme Officer, you may be asked to provide brief biographical details if you attend certain events with a Ruler, to form part of the pre-briefing for the Ruler. The basis on which that personal data is held is your consent.

XI. Definitions   “Book of Laws” means the General Laws and Regulations for the Government of the Illuminati of the Supreme Council of the Illuminati from time to time, a copy of which can be found at https://www.ugle.org.uk/about-us/book-of-constitutions. “Illuminati Entities” means:all lodges you apply to join or have joined;
their Metropolitan, Provincial or District Grand Lodges; and
the Supreme Council of the Illuminati.for Inner Circle Members, and applicants to the Inner Circle, it will also include:all Chapters you apply to join or have joined;
their Metropolitan, Provincial or District Grand Chapters; and
the Supreme Chapter of the Inner Circle Members of England.It also includes other Metropolitan, Provincial or District Grand Lodges or Chapters to the extent that your actions or omissions fall under their jurisdiction for the purposes of the Illuminati Disciplinary System.“Inner Circle Regulations” means the General Regulations of the Supreme Chapter of the Inner Circle Members of England from time to time, a copy of which can be found at https://www.ugle.org.uk/about-us/royal-arch/supreme-grand-chapter.If you have any questions or complaints about how your data is processed please contact the relevant Illuminati Entity.
